We celebrate this month the anniversary of opening of one of the most famous eco-friendly luxury resort worldwide, in which T&D has played a significant role.
We have conceived and supplied the primary water and the sewage treatment system, the conditioning system and in particular an hybrid power solution for the island, integrated by an exclusive high design jetty, covered with special glass solar panels.
The overall installation features over 6000 square meters of unobtrusive PV panels, that produce around a megawatt of energy on a daily basis and is equipped with a storage system for the surplus energy that allows the Resort to be almost totally self-sufficient.
In addition, to minimize energy consumption, T&D has implemented a completely automated system, remotely controlled and equipped with a last generation touch screen panel, reporting and monitoring consumption in real time and all other necessary data for a proper management.
Once again, T&D has provided the customer with a sustainable solution that fulfills the energy requirements of the entire island.
T&D Hybrid Energy System
T&D has successfully completed a further important global project in the five-stars Resort boasting the largest undersea restaurant of the world, connected to the mainland by a fascinating modular wooden jetty, of our own design, that suits perfectly to the ambience.
In addition to the jetty, integrated to the energy hybrid system provided by us, we have also installed two next-generation desalinization plants (R.O.), that allow to save even more energy, the rainwater recovery system and we have eliminated odours from the exhaust system to protect environment and people.
The company has in particular developed a modern cogeneration solution that, recovering thermal energy from the generators themselves, is capable to meet the hot water requirements of the entire Resort, including laundry.
This cutting edge technology allows to obtain a considerable energy saving, significantly reducing pollutant emissions, and marks a further step forward in the path followed by T&D for the implementation of eco-friendlysolutions.
